Before beginning to tag each season, please watch these short videos! They include a tutorial on using our tagging template and a great guide on how to properly hang pants.
Paper
- Print tags on 65 or 67 lb cardstock. Regular paper is not accepted.
- White cardstock: Use this to donate unsold items (donated before Pickup). Choose the 75% off max discount to give them the best chance to sell first.
- Assigned cardstock color: Use the color in your confirmation email (based on the first digit of your 4-digit code) if you want to pick up your unsold items.
Attaching your tags: Tape the tag corner, hole-punch, and zip-tie to your item whenever possible - and never tape over the QR code. See our How to Tag page for the full how-to (hangers, slippery items, tagless items, books, and more).
QR code tags: Print your QR tags directly from our site - you can't use old barcode tags or tags from another sale. The code, price, and discount are embedded, and your tags work at BB, KE, and EE.
Typing tags & our template
- As of 2026, you must type all fields (not only code, price, and discount).
- You cannot use a pen to alter tags. To reprice or change a description, retag the item.
- You cannot create your own template or paste data into our online tag entry.
- Use our Excel template to enter unlimited tags and pages. Its duplicate tag feature is amazing! (You can also use Google Sheets and "Download as Excel." Do not use Apple Numbers - it will not format correctly.)
- Do not delete rows in the template or it will not load (Columns R & S hold required info).
Required tag fields
Enter all of these so your items sell and can be tracked if a tag gets separated:
- Code, Price, and Discount choice. Not sure what to charge? See our Pricing page.
- Category: Pet, Garden, Tools, and Automotive items can be listed as "Houseware" when using the Tag Template.
- Brand: Write "no tag" if a clothing item lacks a tag, or "no brand" if there is none. Leave blank or write "BOOK" for books.
- Color: List the main shades. "Multi" or "camo" are not colors. Skip this field for books and puzzles.
- Size: For clothing, always type a number size. If the manufacturer's tag shows a letter (S/M/L), type the comparable number instead - letter sizes aren't used for kids' clothing. For non-clothing items, use this field for the title, age range, or other info.
- Description: 3+ words are required - specific enough to match the tag to your item if it gets separated. If it's new with tags, write "NWT!" and include the retail price ("RETAIL $xx") - and you can ask us to stamp NWT clothing approved at Drop-off. - Books, Games & Puzzles: Enter the book title, game age range, or puzzle piece count. Tape the tag on all 4 sides with blue painters tape.
Types of tags
- Regular: The default tag for almost everything. Default discount is 75% off on the final day. We recommend 75% off to help your items sell.
- Duplicate: For multi-piece items that could get separated (carseat + base, clothing sets size 4+, boxed shoes). Click the Duplicate Tag radio button - only duplicate tags may have handwritten fields. Full how-to on our How to Tag page.

Discount options
- Max Discount NONE: Prints the word "red" and prints in red on a color printer. No color printer? Circle the price with a red pen. Use sparingly for treasures you'd rather keep than discount.
- Max Discount 50%: Stays at 50% off for both discount days. Prints the word "green" and prints in green on a color printer. No color printer? Circle with a green pen.
- Max Discount 75%: Reduces to 50% on the second-to-last day and 75% on the final day. Prints in black with "black" under the price - no need to circle. Our top recommendation to help items sell!
Seller Reports & Troubleshooting
- Kids EveryWEAR does not provide a list of your unsold items. Keep your PDFs or tag template spreadsheet if you'd like a copy.
- Order a Seller's Report if you'd like a list of items which sold.
- Tags won't generate a PDF? Make sure you entered your CODE, LAST NAME, and PRICES correctly. A pop-up blocker can also stop it - try Safari.
